Inclined Kids is a community organization based on Treaty 1 land that provides kids with free skateboarding gear and programming. We’re able to do so thanks to help from our community supported fundraisers. Inclined Kids was started in 2020 by Matt Cline, a dad, teacher, and lover of all things skateboarding. He started it with the goal to help set kids up with quality gear and programming. By holding fundraisers and connecting with youth in the community, we’re able to do just that.

We started fundraising in 2020 with a goal to set up kids with quality gear so that they can experience all the amazing things skateboarding has to offer. We held a 24-hour live stream fundraiser event and raised over $2000. With the success of our first fundraiser, we were able to purchase 13 complete skateboards, helmets, and tools. We donated our first batch of skateboards to Ndinawe, an organization that serves youth who are at risk of experiencing homelessness. Together, we ran a program where we focused on teaching kids the fundamentals of skateboarding, practising mindfulness, and building community.

This year, we're rolling out our Eat. Sk8. Meditate. program. We started holding the program on Sundays virtually over on Twitch. While we're continuing to offer our virtual program, we're stoked to be able to bring ESM in person. This spring, we'll be holding Eat. Sk8. Meditate. at the Manitoba Youth Centre where we'll share healthy snacks, learn how to skate, and practice meditation. Follow our Instagram for updates on our programs, we plan to offer ESM to the public this summer!
